Stuff to do or is happening that nobody but me is interested in.
- Slowly collecting Alt news sites/blogs. Not controlled by corporate suits or oligarchs and not behind a paywall. Eventually I’m going to have to create a category for them in the directory.
- A growing list of political opinion blogs. I think I need to make a category for these because the list will grow especially in the next 4 years. It is easier to categorize these when you have a dedicated blog. Harder to do when political opinion posts are mixed in with other personal stuff. The problem here is I’ve been trying to keep the directory out of politics so maybe it’s best to just ignore this. Maybe I should find a different way to catalog political blogs.
- I think I could delete Microcasts category, moving some listings into “Podcasts”.
- Ezines. Should I make a category for ezines, zines and magazines? Ezines were popular in the ’00’s but they are a lot of work to produce and people abandoned them after a couple issues.
- I need to examine that line between software you install on a desktop, apps for mobile and web apps. It’s always a pain to figure out where to place those.
- I should probably think about closing down all webrings that I run. Being in a webring run by somebody else is easy, but running a webring is a lot of time and work and I find the directory takes up a lot of my time already.
