What is a blog stream?
I’m defining a blog stream as a feed of newly updated blog posts, usually but not always from a blog hosting company. Most are moderated to some degree. (Note: I may have made up the term blog stream.) Blog streams are a good way to find interesting blog posts, written by humans, to read and/or blogs to follow.
List of 5 Blog Streams
Below is a list of five blog streams worth checking out.
- The Pika Pulse – delayed by 1 day for curation. RSS feed available. Pika Pulse displays new posts with their hosted blogs.
- Bear Blog Trending – up/down voting type curation. RSS feed available. Sort by trending or most recent.
- Loforo Everyone – Curation: unknown. Loforo is a Tumblr alternative. Filter for NSFW.
- Micro.blog Discover – manual curation, usually days behind. Can be sorted by subject categories. Searchable. I don’t see a RSS feed.
- feedle Top Stories – curated. RSS available. Feedle is a RSS search engine not a blog host. They have other streams like Digital Crossroads, Good News and more. See the link for details.
- Scribbles Explore (Added 9 Jan 2025) – You can discover latest posts or latest blogs added to the hosting service.
Other blog hosts might have their own blog streams, these five are just a starting points. If I missed a blog stream let me know in the comments.
